John Kenny joins forces with the London based chamber choir Eclectic Voices, conducted by Scott Stroman, to perforn Kenny’s setting for solo trombone with voices and bells  of  “in Blue Water Icicled…” by the poet Eric Mottam, from his anthology from A Book of Herne. This will be the final event in a two day festival and conference celebrating the life and work of one of Britain’s finest 20th century poets.

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (adapted by Paul Stebbings, directed by Gaspard Legendre) – Premiere Munich Gasteig, September 30

Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme, Moliere – Premiere Munich Gasteig October 14.

Mandela – a new play by written and directed by Paul Stebbings with music by John Kenny, premiere Munich Gasteig October 21.

July 26 to August 5 2019 San Marino New Music Project

John Kenny leads the  brass, improvisation and music theatre course of the 4th San Marino New Music project. A faculty of internationally acclaimed interpreters of contemporary performance spend 10 days in the magnificent environment of San Marino, high above Rimini, working with advanced students and young professional from all over the world. 2019 features a performance of the opera Rivale by our composer in residence, Lucia Roncali, at the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana Classical Music festival of Rimini on August 5th.

John Kenny & Tintignac Carnyx in colour by Francesco MaranoJohn Kenny performs on a new reconstruction by Jean Boisserie of the great Tintignac Carnyx, commissioned by the Corrèze region of its discovery. Part of a son et lumière  event to celebrate the adoption of the Tintignac Carnyx as the official regional symbol of the Corrèze – Kenny will perform as series of his composition from the album Dragon Voices.
